The Food and Drug Administration has warned consumers about a new drug called Cialis to treat erectile dysfunction.
The medication was initially approved in Canada, but is only available through a prescription from a doctor. The new drug, called Tadalafil, will be available without a prescription by September 15, a spokesman for the Food and Drug Administration said.
The FDA said that it has received reports of several cases of patients suffering from erectile dysfunction, including headaches, flushing and indigestion. The FDA says it is not aware of any cases of men with a serious medical problem who are using other medications to treat their symptoms.
The drug is the latest in a series of new studies to be conducted on the treatment of erectile dysfunction, known as impotence.
The drug is available only by prescription. The FDA has said it will continue to recommend the use of the drug in the United States. However, it also warns against taking the drug if there is an increased risk of side effects such as vision loss and priapism.
The FDA is concerned that the new drug may cause a serious side effect in people who use drugs that affect the heart.
The FDA is also warning people who are taking antidepressants, which are commonly known as "drugs for depression" that affect blood flow and may cause heart attacks, strokes and kidney problems.
Tadalafil is already available on prescription in the U. S. and Canada.
Tadalafil is not currently available on the same level as Viagra. The drug has not been approved for use in the United States.

Tadalafil was also approved in Europe in May 2012, and in Canada in June 2013. The drug was also approved for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.
Tadalafil has been on the market since 2013 and is available in a wide variety of dosages. In Canada, the drug is available in a lower dose called 5 milligram tablets.
